Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026. These terms govern your use of this website and the Client Portal.
Draft template — not yet reviewed by an attorney
These terms are a starting template and have not been reviewed by legal counsel. Before relying on them — especially the liability, warranty, and independence provisions — have an attorney review and adapt them to your engagement agreements and Georgia law.
Who we are
Georgia Audit Ready provides audit-readiness advisory services, financial statement preparation, and secure document storage for Georgia local governments and authorities. By using this website or the Client Portal, you agree to these terms.
We are not your auditor
Georgia Audit Ready does not perform audits, issue audit opinions, or act as your independent auditor. The audit or agreed-upon-procedures engagement required under O.C.G.A. § 36-81-7 must be performed by an independent, Georgia-licensed CPA firm. Nothing on this site, in the Client Portal, or in our free tools (including the audit requirement checker) constitutes an audit opinion, legal advice, or a substitute for professional judgment by your independent auditor or attorney.

Service availability
We aim to keep the website and Client Portal available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, hosting provider outages, or issues outside our control may affect availability. Given hard regulatory deadlines like the 180-day DOAA filing window, don't rely on the portal as your only copy of critical documents until you've confirmed a backup process with us.
No warranty
This website, its free tools (including the audit requirement checker and compliance checklist), and the Client Portal are provided "as is." We give general guidance based on current Georgia and federal thresholds, but you should confirm your entity's specific requirements with DOAA, your independent auditor, or legal counsel before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Georgia Audit Ready is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or the Client Portal, including missed regulatory deadlines, beyond the fees paid to us for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.
Intellectual property
The content, design, and tools on this site belong to Georgia Audit Ready. Documents you upload to the Client Portal remain your property — we don't claim ownership of your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page; material changes affecting active Client Portal users will be communicated directly.
